Simon Heslop has warned Boston United they can't afford to take Curzon Ashton lightly.

The Pilgrims travel to face the Nash at the Tameside Stadium on Saturday, knowing their hosts love to ruffle feathers.

There may be 15 places and 27 points between third-placed Boston and Curzon, in 19th, but the recent goalless draw between the two sides at York Street is testament to the fact that Ashton are up for a battle.

Indeed, in their past three matches against top five sides they have drawn at York and Boston, also beating Chester 1-0 on the road.

The Nash also beat the table-topping Minstermen 1-0 at home earlier this season.

"I think it's important we don't get ahead of ourselves and take each game as it comes," said Heslop after Tuesday's goalless draw at Brackley Town.

"We've got another tough away game at the weekend so we need to recover and go again on Saturday.

"They've tended to do well against the bigger teams so they can't be underestimated at all.

"We really need to get ourselves going again on Saturday."

Heslop - who missed a year of football as he battled a knee injury - made his first start for Boston at St James' Park.

"Confidence-wise, after being out for so long, just to play almost a full 90 minutes, I was really pleased," he added.
